My Turner 12 experiences have been a blessing and a lesson. Coach Carter, you’ve made a great impact in my life and for all of this, I love you.

Throughout the years, I’ve learned many things from many beautiful people. From the ladies and gentlemen of Highland Park United Methodist, to Ms. Deborah and on over to those at Pizza Hut, thank you all for helping mold the young lady you see before you.

Lastly, Mom, you are my inspiration and I will make you very proud. I love you all!

I want to take this opportunity to express my thanks to every mentor and every sponsor who has helped me fulfill my dream and begin my destiny. I want to thank you, Coach Carter, for accepting me into an organization that was filled with fun and many life experiences. I applaud you for the effort and concern you showed us all.

To The 12, stay focused and become the successful and beautiful people you are meant to become. Only strive for the best. Honestly, I love each of you with all my heart and I will never forget you.

Love is an action word and I believe The Turner 12 put that love in action everyday.

Being in the organization helped me to become a productive young man in life and to excel in the classroom. It was the best experience I have ever had.

Coach Carter, you taught me not only how to excel but how to remain responsible.

I consider it a blessing to have been in The Turner 12 and I wish you all well in your future and careers.

One of the most wonderful things that has happened to me is the time that I have spent being in The Turner 12.

It has been a blessing and I want to thank you, Coach Carter, for introducing me to a better side of life. Life without The Turner 12 seemed meaningless, in my eyesight.

I say from the bottom of my heart to the next group of 12, please take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity. This experience has been so fun and full of joy, love, excitement and learning. So please enjoy!

This organization has made itself to be a forum to challenge young minds in leadership roles. With leadership in sight, I now understand that I must find a need and address it to the best of my ability, without expecting anything in return.

I challenge The Turner 12 2011 members to also raise the bar for other young minds and strive to be a successful member of society, just as I tend to be.

Thanks Mom and Coach Carter for teaching me the life lessons I need to succeed in the future.

Being in The Turner 12 has been the best experience so far in my life.

I have conquered many things because of this organization such as my fear of heights and my inability to speak in front of a crowd of people.

I want to thank you, Mom, for all the encouragement and support that you provided me. Thank you, Coach Carter, for your support and being the father figure that I needed in my life.

Our time has come. Let’s be the teachers, nurses and lawyers that we know we can become.

I will miss all of you for different reasons. Tonine, Kim, Alicia and Sophia, keep giving powerful advice and being good role models and loving sisters. Arun, ShaQuitha, Karivion and Kiera, stay cool, funny and outgoing. Eleceia, Tinesha and Shenard, stay “divas.”

Coach Carter, thanks for all you did to help make me a better young lady for society. I will miss you. I’m not going to say “good-bye” because it’s more like “see ya’ll later.”

During the past four years of my life, no activity has impacted me more than being in The Turner 12.

Through years of hard work and continuous studying, I gained a lot of discipline. This discipline has spread to other parts of my personality including my moral character, work ethic and perseverance. I have learned the meaning of leadership.

To The Turner 12 of 2011, don’t take the next six years of your life for granted. It will make the difference.

The Turner 12 has impacted my life in many ways and has given me a better understanding of life’s ups and downs.

I want to thank Rena Sloan, Leanna Sloan, Oscar Sloan, Larry Lewis, Mrs. Florida Jossell and the rest of the mentors and Board members. Most of all, I want to thank you, Coach Carter, for giving me the opportunity.

As a Turner 12 member, I have learned to lead by example, both in and out of school.

Through this organization, I have experienced pain, sacrifice, adversity and success. I have learned to vividly imagine and sincerely believe.

For this, I would like to thank you, Coach Carter, The Board and everyone who has played a part in this experience.

Lastly, I want to thank Jason, Jacob, Mom and Dad for always being there for me.

Turner 12, I am proud and admire each of you. You have inspired me to and challenged me for the better. I am so proud to have had the honor of growing as a person, leader and student with you. I am overwhelmed with joy when I think about your love, dedication and support.

Coach Carter, you have started an epidemic of excellence. God gave you to us and I am so grateful.

To all the people who have helped us grow, I thank you and may God bless your lives as you have blessed ours.

As a member of The Turner 12, I have had many memorable experiences over the years and I am thankful for each and every one of them.

My attitude about life and myself has come a long way as well.

A word of advice to The 12 of 2011, please don’t take this opportunity for granted and think of it as a once in a lifetime chance. It’s like a dollar bill. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
