Lueretha Slack

Lueretha J. Slack worked for numerous companies in the Human Resource arena prior to beginning a career in community affairs. She worked for Guaranty Bank for seven years, where she was a Benefits Administrator and promoted after one year to Community Development Specialist in the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Department. She left Guaranty to become the Emerging Markets Manager for South and West Texas with Wells Fargo in December 2003. She joined Comerica Bank in May of 2006 as the Dallas CRA Manager. She is the Vice President-Texas Market/North Texas and Austin CRA Manager.

Lueretha attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland where she received her B.S. degree in Business Administration and is a lifetime member of the national alumni association. She is an active member of the Urban Financial Services Coalition - Dallas Chapter where she is on the advisory board, served as President for two years and the Regional Representative for the Southwest Region on the UFSC National Board for two years. She is on the board of directors for Jeffries Street Learning Center, Junior Players and Consumer Credit Counseling Service, where she serves on the Executive Committee. She was the founder of Kid Sister Mentoring Program, a girl mentoring program at Jeffries Street Learning Center. She was appointed and served on the City of Dallas Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center Advisory Board for eight years. She was appointed Chairperson of the Board by former Mayor Ron Kirk and served in that capacity for four years. She is married to Norman Slack and lives in Cedar Hill, Texas.
